- The Management Team
The Board Of Trustees
Horizon House is governed by a 16-member Board of Trustees who set policy
and maintain the mission of the organization. The Board is selected from
Seattle-area residents to reflect a wide range of professional expertise
and community leadership. Five residents of Horizon House are voting
members of the Board. Officers of the 2008 Board of Trustees are:

Past-President - Nancy Edquist
Vice-President - Bruce Walker
Secretary - Robin Pasquarella
Treasurer - Bill Clancy
Other members of the Board of Trustees include:
Lee Atherton, Mike Denton, Joyce Jackson, Jim Lane, Mike Mines, Sarah Patterson,
Terry Teigen, Fletch Waller, Lesley Watson, Jim Weller. Residents' Council
Chair is Betty Wagner. Legal Counsel is Steve DeForest.
The Management Team
The daily management of Horizon House is the
responsibility of the Executive Team, whose members are:
Chief Executive
Officer
- Robert Y. Anderson has served Horizon House since October of
1998. His professional background includes ten years as Administrator of
Home Health and Hospice for the Providence Health Systems, State Liaison
Officer for the Health Care Financing Administration, and Deputy Director
of Mental Health in the State of Illinois. He holds a B.A. in Political
Science from Tufts University and a Master of Public Administration from
Syracuse University.
Chief Financial Officer - Carl Siver
has served as CFO for Horizon House for four years. Prior to that, he was
controller for the Kline Galland Home. He holds a B.A. degree from Idaho
State University, a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Alaska,
and an MBA from the University of Washington.
Administrator for Health Services - Lauri
Warfield-Larson has been professionally involved in long-term
care since 1993. She joined Horizon House in 1998 as a staff
Occupational Therapist. She earned her Nursing Home Administrators
License in 2005 and moved to the position of Administrator of Health
Services in October, 2005. She holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy
from the University
of Washington.
Administrator for Marketing and Community
Relations - Joan Carufel has been in charge of Marketing for
Horizon House since 1993. She brings extensive experience in public
relations, marketing and advertising, as well as ownership and management
of a film company. She holds a B.A. in the Humanities from Seattle
University.
Operations Administrator
- Tim Frazier
served as
Treasurer of the Horizon House Board of Trustees and was a Managing
Consultant for TDF Consulting Group. Prior to this post, he served as
Chief Financial Officer for Community Health Network of Washington, Chief
Operating Officer at Cascade Healthcare Alliance and Senior Vice President
& General Manager for Premera Blue Cross. He received his MS,
Accountancy from California State University and his BA, Economics from
the University of California.
