Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Engineer and/or assigned Lead, the Engineer 1 is responsible for the proper utilization of materials and equipment to perform complex and major corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, highly skilled and detailed renovation and construction services and other such work as assigned. Duties are performed throughout the campus at Horizon House under all types of weather conditions. This position usually works independently with minimal direct supervision. This position may be assigned to Renovations, or Maintenance or a combination of both areas.
Essential Job Duties:
Responds immediately to all life safety system alarms and failures (incl. smoke alarms and emergency pull cords).

Installs and constructs partition walls of sheetrock and finishes walls as directed.

Installs and repairs complex and major plaster elements as required.

Designs and installs shelving units. Performs cabinetry level building and assembly of counter tops, etc.

Installs and maintains, repairs and troubleshoots telephone equipment and Cable TV as necessary.

Performs licensed locksmith tasks, and maintains integrity of Master System, includes TESA system.

Operates the building automation system and trouble shoots its components as required.

Maintains and troubleshoots HVAC systems. Install and replace contactors, transformers, thermostats, and filters. Ductwork is included.

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, equipment, boilers and heating apparatus, control systems and cooling towers and appliances.

Performs installation or major complex repairs or preventive maintenance, repair and maintain all make-up air units and exhaust fan units.

Trouble shoots and repairs all kitchen equipment, including ice machine, refrigerators, coolers, and gas-fired cooking equipment as required.

Performs preventive maintenance and repair of washers, dryers and ironer in laundry room.

Reads plans and blueprints; determines scope of work and materials needed.

Orders materials needed and/or required carrying on shop or maintenance work as directed.

Trains other technicians as directed.

Elder Care LPN
Summary:
The
Elder Care RN is responsible for supervision and management of care provided to residents in the Horizon House and Park Place Supported Living Settings. The Elder Care RN works collaboratively with the nursing management team and the interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver excellent care while meeting the social, physical and spiritual needs of the Elders they serve.
Essential Job Duties:

Manage and supervise the direct care of elders in Supported Living including supervision of Elder Care Assistants as assigned.

Interact with and provide support for families/friends of elders, maintain frequent contact with physicians as well as families regarding elder’s status/needs.

Supervise, teach and model Elder-Centered care with the Elder Care Assistants from a holistic perspective including social/emotional spiritual and physical care to meet the needs of the whole person.

Participate in implementing an appropriate Negotiated Service Agreement for Elders in Supported Living and identify when significant changes in the elder’s health and function necessitate a new Comprehensive Assessment and Negotiated Service Agreement.

Identify elders’ needs based on Comprehensive Assessment and establish a Negotiated Service Agreement in collaboration with the elder, their family or representative and the Interdisciplinary team to meet these needs.

Communicate with other licensed staff, physicians, individuals from other disciplines and other staff regarding each elder’s holistic status.

Maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with facility, State and Federal Requirements.

Promote Elder’s independence within the limits of their abilities and provide teaching to enhance elder’s ability to increase independence. Waitperson/Server
Summary:
The
Waitperson/Server is responsible for the serving of residents and guests in the Dining Room, resident apartments and private dining rooms. This position also serves residents by maintaining the self-serve continental breakfast bar, the self-serve coffee bar, setting up and serving catered parties, setting and cleaning up of the dining room, salad and soup bar. He/she is responsible for writing charge slips and helping residents with grocery needs.
Essential Job Duties:

Serves food and beverage to residents and guests in the dining room, private apartments or for catered events. Provides professional and courteous service using correct service techniques.

Takes resident and guest food orders and carries food to table on service trays.

Sets up, serves, and breaks down catered parties and beverage services as assigned.

Maintains resident self-serve coffee bar by keeping it sufficiently stocked and thoroughly cleaned.

Sets up salad and soup bar according to dining room standards. Considers placement of foods to create an attractive display that is convenient for residents. Maintains the highest standards for cleanliness in these areas.

Summary:
A Horizon House Environmental Services Technician is responsible for interacting with staff and residents in a professional, courteous manner while performing a variety of environmental servicesasnecessary to keep all areas of Horizon House and/or Park Place clean and safe.

Garage Attendant
Summary:
The person in this position parks and retrieves vehicles in the Horizon House parking garage and handles the corresponding paperwork either electronically or by hand, as requested. The person is also responsible for cleaning the garage areas and for washing and waxing vehicles as assigned by the Manager and/or his/her designee.
Essential
Job Duties:

Meets
incoming cars, greets drivers and passengers and gives directions to drivers as necessary.

Parks
and retrieves vehicles for residents, guests and staff showing concern for their vehicles and using safe driving practices.

Issues
valet tickets for vehicles belonging to guests, visitors and employees. Ensures that all who park in the garage are charged accurately. Handles cash and makes change as necessary.

Assists
with loading and unloading resident and guest vehicles. Provides assistance to the elevators if necessary and as requested by residents, guests or management.

the daily garage report and the daily log of parked cars either electronically or by hand, as requested by management.

Summary:
The
person in this position; performs the duties of a beautician by washing, cutting, styling, coloring and giving permanent wave applications to residents. The person also performs Styling Salon services such as manicures, pedicures, and facials.
Essential

services for residents and employees according to their specifications. Procedures include washing, cutting, coloring, setting, and permanent wave applications.

manicures, pedicures and facials as requested.

Write
charges for every procedure and beauty supply that is sold.
